Lost people matter to God, they should matter to us. Hybels
Heaven gets more excited about lost people being found than about any other thing. Jesus came into the world for a number of reasons, but the primary reason was to save sinners (Matthew 9:13). As Bill Hybels says, Lost people matter to God. Therefore, they should matter to us. Saving lost people is God’s bottom line. God’s heart is for the world. He doesn’t want anyone to perish, but all to come to repentance. He wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Friend, God has done His part. Jesus has done His part. He went to the cross and took our sin, our judgement and our death upon Himself. He died, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. The Holy Spirit has done His part. He has come to empower, enlighten and encourage us to do our part. Friends, I want to encourage you today to run the race with patience and endure till the end no matter what comes your way. Some may wonder if serving Christ is worth it, but I want to assure you that it is. I believe it is “worth your while” to fully surrender your entire life over to God the Father and go with His call on your life rather than you deciding what you are going to do with your life. The reason for this is because there are many incredible rewards being given out in heaven for those who are willing to do good works for the Lord while living down here on this earth.
